With ContactKeeper, you can easily store all your contact information and create new contacts on the fly. Without typing a single line of code, you can enter contact details such as name, address, birthdate, email, and phone number. You can configure reminders for birthdays and set up the way ContactKeeper handles your contacts - is it empty or has it been saved already? With a variety of features like calendar or email sync, you can stay in touch with friends and family members.
Create Database
To start using the program, you will need to create a database. To do so, choose File | New | ContactKeeper Database.
The dialog box for creating the database appears. Here you can customize the name of the file, the user name and password for the database, and if you want to add multiple contacts.
On the left side of the window, choose the file name and target location for the database. The first time you create a database, you will be asked for the settings.
When you are done, click on the Save button.
Now that the database has been created, open it and it will be displayed in the list of existing databases. Click on the ContactKeeper Database you created and this will take you back to the first dialog window.
Add Contact
If you want to add a new contact, you will need to click on the Add button.
The dialog window opens to let you specify a contact name and other information. You can also add multiple phone numbers and email addresses.
When you are done, click on the Save button.
By default, ContactKeeper will save a copy of the new contact to the database. However, you can also select Save as... and save the contact to the selected location.
Search
Once you have added a contact, you can look up and edit it using the Search panel on the right side of the interface. There is also a Refresh button that will download new contacts to the database.
You can also search for contacts using keywords or contacts by name. For instance, here you can look up a contact "Barry" by entering his name in the search box.
Editing Contact
You can edit a contact's name, address, email, and phone number by clicking on the name.
After you have highlighted the contact on the list, you can edit the information for it by clicking on the edit button.

You are welcomed by a well-organized set of functions that allows you to create a new database (MDB file format) where your contact information is saved by specifying the filename and target location.

Adding a new contact to the database
ContactKeeper gives you the possibility to insert a new contact by providing details about the name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, and custom note. Plus, you may add multiple phone numbers and email addresses.
Furthermore, you are allowed to perform search operations, edit or remove contacts from the database, export the selected contacts and details (e.g. name, address, email, phone numbers) to HTML, CSV, or plain text file format, and send emails with your contact data.
The built-in calendar shows all birthday dates, and lets you easily access the desired month and year. Additionally, you may save each month to HTML file format or print the entire calendar, and change the looks of the calendar by selecting from different themes.
You can also set up birthday reminders by configuring the recurrence parameters and uploading a custom audio file from your computer (WAV file format).
Bottom line
To sum things up, ContactKeeper proves to be a handy piece of software worth having if you want to store your contact information into a database and set up birthday reminders.
